What Causes Hemiballismus And Altered Speech Pattern When Diagnosed With Microvascular Disease?
my mother has been diagnosed with microvascular disease. has already recently had a acute ischemic stroke in the basal ganglia. currently is taking statin and an aspirin. would Plavix be beneficial in prevention of another stroke? She is currently experiencing hemiballismus to the left side and speech pattern is altered.
The Hemibellismus condition with altered speech pattern indicates issues with micro circulation of the certain regions of the body. The common cause of concern is subthalamic nuclei region. Kindly provide your MRI report if available with you for further discussion and guidelines accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
