Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
over a period of several month my sister started to have hiccups as soon as swallowed the first bite of food of any kind. Over the last few weeks, she is now starting to throw up as soon as the first bit gets into her stomach. She is a kidney cancer survivor with having had two ablations.
Good afternoon. i have gone through your sister history. First of all i would like to know when she had her kidney carcinoma diagnose and timing of her ablation therapy and whether she is on any medication now? the presentation of your sister points towards some mechanical obstrution in the lower part of esophagus( e.g., stricture). I think she should see the gastroenterologist and do barium swallow. As she has history of cancer and ablation she should undergo thorough investigation to rule out any other recurrence or complication.
