What Causes Hiccups And Tightness In The Throat During Food Intake?
hi i have a problem first let me tell you that foe the past 21/2 years that as soon as i take a bit of food i get the hick-up and for the last 7 months when i try to eat my throat feels like it is closing up and if i try to drink to clear it .i throw up do you know what this could be i also have other systoms like muscle spasms in my stomach and legs, arms, groin, and back sorry i cant afford to pay im on disability
Here your physical examination first should be done to do further investigation
Your problem is since long time, so esophageal muscular disorder like achalasia, chronic esophagitis, stenosis etc needs to be ruled out if needed by x ray or endoscopy according to need
Your posterior pharynx and nose examined for chronic infection if present that leading post nasal drip and so such problem can occur
According to cause further specific treatment given
If you have history of acid reflux than such problem also can occur
Take care
Hence consult physician first examination and accordingly further work up
