What Causes High ALT Levels While On Antibiotics And Acetaminophen?

I recently had a blood screen and found out my ALT levels were high for my liver. I drink on occasion/socially, and did have 2-3 drinks the night before. I was also sick and taking antibiotics as well as acetaminophen. Would this cause high ALT levels? And how long would it take to lower ALT levels?

Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic.
Yes,acetaminophen is known to cause liver damage and this is probably the reason for it. Antibiotics may contribute as well so you should reduce dosage of acetaminophen or stop it completely. Alt of should normalize within 2 weeks. If not,you should do liver ultrasound and check viral markers.
I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
