What Causes High BP After Removing Benign Tumor On Right Kidney?
Hi I had a procedure 4 weeks ago. I had a benign tumour on my right kidney. Under local they removed it by a tube being inserted into my blood vessels and a concoction of things, and it killed off the blood vessels that led to the tumour,so as to starve the tumour of blood .The procedure went well. I have been for a follow up appointment and my consultant wasn t worried that my blood pressure was a little high. My blood pressure today is 155/88 should I be worried. Thankyou Annie
The partially raised blood pressure after procedure over kidney is usual for a couple of weeks. Following measures are mandatory: - Sodium restriction in diet - Avoid smoking and alcohol if consuming - Weight control - Sugar control - DASH diet - Avoidance of stress and anxiety - Hydration with plenty of liquids - Correction of any underlying electrolyte abnormality - Regular check over serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen levels - Correction of any urinary infection as per the culture report sensitivity - Avoidance of any nephrotoxic medication
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
