Hello,
Systolic blood pressure of 130 mm Hg is not much of a concern but your diastolic blood pressure is surely high. Normal diastolic pressure should be 80 mm Hg and even if syatolic blood pressure may jump high with age or any other reason, diastolic blood pressure should not go much higher than 80 mm Hg.
Thus, the best advise for you is to consult the doctor prescribing you medicines to adjust the dosage again. You might need to go for some higher dose again.
I am sure you must be taking care in your life style to control the blood pressure. However, here are some tips that can help you to reduce medicine dose in future.
- Blood pressure has direct relation with body weight. As weight increases, blood pressure increases. So watch your food for calorie intake and try to lose some weight.
- Try to invest some time and money in gym. Exercise can give you immense advantage regarding blood pressure.
- Reduce sodium in your diet by reducing salt intake. Food might seem tasteless at first but you might get used to it.
- If you are a frequent alocohol consumer and smoker too, reducing or eliminating both will show you immediate advantage by reducing your blood pressure.
- Everybody faces
stress these days and it is hard not to feel stressed. However, try to relax at times. You can join
yoga or mediation classes to learn some relaxation exercises and feel stress-free. It will lower your blood pressure.
I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthCareMagic. I wish you can lower your medicine dose soon.
Best,
