What Causes High BP During Pregnancy?

My wife is 18th Week Pregnant, from 8th week her BP was 150 and taking medicine alpha dopa. yesterday we have tested her BP, it reached to 160. is it risky? please help us what the procedures we can do it to reduce her BP? is this high BP affects my baby and wife? please help us

high BP in pregnanc is called preeclampsia....and in your case this is chronic hypertension as BP RAISE IN YOUR CASE IS BEFORE 20 WEEKS OF GESTATION

ADEQUATE BP CONTROL IS MUST THROUGHT THE PREGNANCY AS IT WILL AFFECT BOTH MOTHER AND YOUR BABY...THERE ARE CHANCES OF ECLAMPSIA, PRETERM BIRTH, FETAL GROWTH RESTRICTION ETC DUE TO UNCONTROLLED BP...

TREATMENT OF IT IS MUST...YOU ARE ADVISED TO TAKE REGULAR ANTENATAL VISITS, SONOGRAPHY WITH DOPPLER REGULARLY...
