What Causes High BP While On Hydrochlorothiazide Triamterene And Metoprolol?
I am currently taking triamterene/HCTZ 37.5/25 once daily every morning and in the evening I take Metoprolol succ ER 50mg. But now my blood pressure has been running 163/100 pulse 103 and does drop down but will spike back up to these high numbers what could be wrong? Also I am on vacation from IL and currently in Gunnison, CO can the elevation have something to do with it also
Hello, Thanks for the concern. According to history you have high blood pressure eventhough you are taking three antihypertensive drugs (hydrochlorthiazide, triamtrene and metoprolol). For that you can increase the dosage of drug which you are taking but under strict guidance of your treating physician. In addition you can take salt restricted diet and avoid oily foods. Also you have to do lipid profile and if raised start antilipidemic drug. So immediately consult your treating physician. Take care
