Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes High LDL, High Eosinophil Count And Low Neutrophil Count?
I have high LDL and high eosinophil count and low neutrophil count. what could be the cause and how to take care it. I also feel so congested at night, almost one nostile block. During day, I do get congestion but not as much as night. I feel little pain in left heel and my left arm is heavy.
Hi and Welcome. The values are not necessarily related. A high LDL is caused by too much saturated fat/trans fat in the diet, low fiber intake and possible lack of exercise or other lifestyle factors. It is a risk indicator for heart disease by promoting atherosclerosis.
As you sniffle, a high eosinophil count is related to your allergies.
You didn't indicate how low the neutrophils were but I might guess that you have a slight infection, perhaps sinus, that is causing the low neutrophils.
Hope this helps. Kathy Shattler, MS,RDN
