What Causes High Blood Pressure After A Steroid Injection Shot?
Yes I had a steroid injection in my back today for a pinched nerve that was creating pain in my leg. After the shot, my blood pressure was checked and it had risen to 215/110. It usually runs 145/75. My question is, will this type of injection cause this much increase in one s blood pressure. About an hour ago, it had fallen to 165/84!

It is possible that steroid shot causes such blood pressure increase and this was probably the case ,however it should normalize in short period and it should not cause an permanent damage or blood pressure disorders so you should not be worried. 165/85 is still bit too high but there is no need for any medical intervention. Just avoid salty food in next few days and dont use injection befor BP had falled to normal values below 140.
