Hello

It is well recognized that steroids do cause increased blood pressure but this is more common with long term use. In your case i would say that even stress and anxiety and pain in the foot can also contribute to the blood pressure changes. If you had any weight changes in the meantime would also be a factor.

To conclude i would say:
- monitor your blood pressure the coming 3-4 weeks and keep record of the measurements (measure in different times during the day, one day in the morning, one day in the evening, etc)
- make sure you watch the diet and weight and that you don't gain weight and loose the extra weight if you have gained
- if the values remain high you will need to talk to your doctor, show the measurements and your doctor might also ask for some blood tests like fasting glucose, lipids, creatinine, electrolytes, CBC, UA- which are done routinely in patients that have high blood pressure and will decide on further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
