What Causes High Blood Pressure After Taking Nexium?
My BP has been high for a week now. The high in the last 5 days was 160/101 but one day it was around 115/75 all day. Today I went to a tanning bed during lunch and took a Nexium for acid reflux which has been bothering me lately. Tonight I checked it at a local store and to my shock it was 180/111! I immediately too it again and it was about the same. I waited about 10 minutes and it was 160/100. I drive to a different CVS and tested it again and it was 170/100 but It is cold and raining so I was cold and wet at both stores. I waited a couple minutes and it dropped to 140/81 twice in a row. I am 49 male about 20 over weight and the only symptoms I have had is reflux which is nothing new. Should I be concerned about the 180/110 as I read it is dangerous?
Hi, I do not think it was the Nexium. You seem to be suffering from hypertension. Blood pressure can fluctuate. Please see a Physician to start treatment, and reduce your extra weight--regards
