What Causes High Blood Pressure Along With Headache And Slurred Speech?

I am a 51 year old female and weight about 115. I have been under a lot of stress and my blood pressure has been running 164/104. I am symptomatic for head ache, slurred speech, neck tension and blurred vision. I am an RN and have clonidine 0.1 mg at home which helps with the symptoms. I went to the ER yesterday and they did CT scan and said all was normal. The ER was a nightmare and they gave me ketamine for the headache which nearly killed me. I have had these symptoms for a week. I am very scared.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

Usually, if there is an underlying problem then itching remain persistent. these occasional itching episodes are almost always due to some allergy secondary to new shampoo, soaps, clothes.etc.

So for such situations, you have to identify the culprit agent and for time being use antihistamine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
