Hello dear,
Welcome to the HCM.
At this age the causes of high B.P could be
atherosclerosis (
stiffness of vessles),increased weight ,and it can be because of strong positive family history or idiopathic (no known cause).
Increased heart rate can be because of anxiety or stress and
thyroid problem (increased thyroid hormones).
I would suggest you to get
lipid profile, blood sugar level ,thyroid profile and ECG done first and discuss with your physician.
For high B.P first you should try to modify your life style.like .
1 . Decrease your weight
2.Do exercise daily for at least 45 minutes .Brisk walking would be fine exercise for you.
3.Use low sodium salt.
4.Avoid oily and fried things.
5.Avoid stress. Also starting yoga would help you out with coping up stress.
After following some above mentioned tips ;you keep checking your B.P and if still it comes high then you may need some anti hypertensive medicines after discussing with your physician.
Regards,
Dr.Maheshwari
