Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes High Blood Pressure Along With Mood Swings?
If my blood pressure is going from very high to very low within minutes, what can be the cause. When it drops extremely low, I am light headed and feel I need to hold on to something. My heart rate does not drop low, just my blood pressure. I do track it. Then at times it goes extremely high. All of this within one day. I have been prescribed blood pressure medication which does not control these high and low swings. What might be the cause? How can I control this? Thank you.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Changing blood pressure is mostly a borderline blood pressure, getting high or low with anxiety- depression due to stress hormone/nutrition level.
Try to be stable and control exacerbation of emotions by mind concentration exercises and keep on checking up blood pressure periodically to need of medication.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale,
