Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the last three months my blood pressure has been going up a little. It started off at 123/84 then last month it was 118/94 now yesterday it was 110/100...i was told yesterday i have elevated liver enzymes and i have been treated for hypothyroidism for 2 years now...do you have any ideas why the bottom number keeps going up?
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms your diastolic blood pressure values are a little elevated. These changes in blood pressure values could be related to thyroid gland dysfunction.
For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests: - Thyroid hormone levels - Complete Blood Count for anemia - Blood electrolytes for any possible electrolyte imbalance - Kidney and liver function tests
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ilir Sharka
