What Causes High Blood Pressure With Swelling And Numbness In The Legs?
My husband is 60 years old and has high blood pressure, swelling in the legs and feet numbness in the feet. I have noticed lately that he gets confused and his blood pressure has been high even though he I on blood pressure medicine. He hasn t been feeling well and has been very short tempered and not himself, He hurt hi s knee on a rig and has been going to a work hardening program. There have been times during this 3 week program that they have stopped due to his blood pressure goinkng up. He is blowing this down but I think there is something going on.Thank you, Debbie
Hi debbie. Thanks for posting on hcm. From your husband vondtion I suspect he has got hypertension secondary to some renal cause. If I am your doctor I would check the renal function since the blood pressure is not controlled inspite of using medicinea for hypertension, swelling of the feet also points suspicion towardd renal problem. Irritability could be because of increased blood pressure. Hope this helped you. Regards
