What Causes High Blood Pressure?

My blood pressure is normally 140/90. I don t take any meds. This morning it was 199/110. Durning the day it came down to 177/108. I went to Urgent care and it was 180/110. They gave me a diuretic and it came home. I came home and it s now 212/128.

In most cases this us essential hypertension which has no exact cause. it risk factors include obesity,high blood sugar and lipids,smoking, and stress. These values that you mention are very high and may indicate certain heart or kidneys disorders so more extensive work up is required and permanent medications as well.
