What Causes High Blood Pressure?

I have high blood pressure, and am on Norvasc 5m/day and Metaprolol Tartrate 25mg/day & eve. Over the past four days, I ve had the feeling of tightness near my voice box, almost as if I m being choked slightly. Also over the past four days, while on the meds, my BP has soared to figures such as 166/95. I tried taking an Azor pill this morning instead of the Norvasc, since Azor typically plunged my BP 15-20 points - but it didn t work this time. Could the choking feeling simply be a result of the high BP, or something else (throat infection, allergies, etc.). We have a high ragweed count around here lately, and I ve had some coughing this past week.

I really appreciate your concern I would say that your age and gender are missing here such scarcity put us in difficulty because as long as the hypertension is concern the pathophysiology differ in both male and female and according to age, in my opinion this condition better can be treated with proton pump inhibitor (Omeprazole 40 mg) because chances of esophagitis due to acid reflux is likely that may cause the chocking sensation in throat, have a nice day.
