What Causes High Creatinine Clearance Levels During Pregnancy?
What causes very high creatinine clearance in pregnancy? Test was taken at 12 weeks. Creatinine clearance was 242 ml/min, and serum creatinine was .53. I have talked to two doctors and two nurses and some have said this is normal and others have said I have mild kidney disease and that my kidneys are filtering too slowly and inefficiently. They say the risk of renal damage if I continue the pregnancy is high. I m completely confused.

This is normal. During pregnancy the volume of blood increases, which will increase the creatinine clearance and lower the creatinine. It is nothing to be concerned about and will return back to your normal levels after the pregnancy.
