Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes High Creatinine In Urine For A 24-year-old Female?
I have a 24 yo daughter. High creatinine in her urine, can t gain weight, does have Hashimoto s thyroiditis but levels are fine. Having diarrhea for several days now, tonight after eating normal meals for past few days began vomiting. She is supposed to start medical school rotations tomorrow. Really worried about her. Says she is not nervous about school.
To me, she might be having kidney infection. Plus, might have acquired a recent acute bowel infection. I advise to: - Take more rest - Increase fluids intake - Follow BRAT (banana, rice, apple sauce, toast) diet - Take cranberry supplement for her urine infection
If still no improvement, she should consult with her caring doctor as might need prescription meds.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
