My husband is being treated for a tumor on his spine and has been taking 8 mg of oxycodone every 3 hours with 1 500 mg Tylenol, plus time-released morphine 3 x day. His radiation treatments have finished and he is anxious to stop his pain meds. He has reduced the oxycodone to 4 mg every 3 hours and we are getting ready to move him to 4 mg every 4 hours. He is saying he is restless and full of energy. Is this a side effect of withdrawal? He wants to stop the oxycodone soon, if possible. Thanks.
