What Causes High Fever Along With Sore Throat And Headache?

Hello! I had a possible exposure to hiv by deep kissing a girl and fingering her.....of i which i ejaculated in my pants...i possibly hav touched my penis with the finger (though cant remmember exactly).....after 2weeks of that event i had a severe fever, head ache, muscle pain, joint pain, stomach pain, sore throat,a dark single unhealing pimple like sore on my chest, ulcers in my mouth, neck pain, muscle pain, lower pack pain, dumb pain in my thigh and diarehea. I went to the hospital but tested negative on hiv antibody test at 6weeks so i was treated of peptic ulcer, malaria and thypoid......the diarhea stopped immediately after i started taking Amoxiclave. I and the girl at 7week re tested (dough the girl is testing for the first time) and it was still negative. Help me out...what possibly is wrong with me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to HCM.

There are less chances of HIV transmission through kissing or the way you have described.
Even if you have got HIV exposure, testing for HIV antibody should be done at 3 months after exposure .Before that, this test is false negative. Before 3 month, you can go for a test called p24 antigen assay.
The clinical picture you described looks to be some sort of respiratory tract infections like influenza/infectious mononucleosis/malaria/typhoid.
HIV doesnot manifests itself with such severity as you described in 2 weeks.

Hope I answered your query.
