What Causes High Fever And Blister At The Corner Of The Mouth For A 9-month-old?

My 9mo old just saw a doctor in her ped s office this morning. She either has a 24hr virus, hand/foot/mouth, or roseila. Yesterday her fever was 102.7 and tonight a single zit/blister/something popped up at the corner of her mouth. Should I start disinfecting the house, or continue watching? The on-call pediatrician said we d know by Wednesday for sure.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There is no medication for hand foot and mouth disease because it is a viral disease. Keep a good hygiene, wash hands give plenty of fluids and avoid contact with other children.

It is spread from nasal secretions, direct contact from ill person to another. Usually, it goes away in a few days. If your child doesn't be a better to consult a pediatrician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
