What Causes High Fever And Chills Post Pneumococcal And Flu Shots?
My husband had both the flu and pneumococcal vaccines on Weds. He woke at 12:15 with a fever of 101 and then at 2:15 with a fever of 102. Also has had chills a couple of times...along with some shaking. He s keeping hydrated. I m planning to give him some acetaminophen now. Wondering if he might need medical attention. Also, he s saying he needs to go in to work tomorrow morning but I m saying he needs to stay home and continue resting. He s 66 years old.

I think you should give him acetaminophen for fever.
I think this is a side effect of vacancies he has done.
Probably tomorrow he will be more better.
