What Causes High Fever And Low Platelet Count?

My son is suffering with fever for last 3 to 4 days . Temp is 102 . We did blood report today & before 2 days . The following parameter found Wbc count reduce from 3140 to 2460 Platelet count reduces from 217000 to 138000.No vomit sensation, no body pain , please advice is it viral fever or dengue ?

According to history yes you are right it could be viral infection, malaria or dengue like condition in which platelets destruction occurs....

You have not mentioned your mpv value

Your giesmsa peripheral smear or card test done for rule out malaria..

For dengue confirmation NS1 testing or
IG M by ELISA testing done ...

Symptomatic management done with more water and fruits more

Papaiya is also beneficial...

Take care
