What Causes High Fever, Lower Left Abdominal Pain, Chills And Vomiting?
Hi my dad is 55 years old he was recently had high fever, lower left abdominal pain , chills and vomiting. He was diagnosed with a kidney infection but its been three days and he still looks very weak and kind of limps on the hid left side. Is this normal? Or common? & will he get better? Thank you!
According to your information it seems like your dad is suffering from acute pylonephritis. It is condition of kidney infection presenting as pain abdomen fevervomiting. But dont worry the condition can cure if treated properly. If this is the case then i generally
1. Send a urine culture for detecting the likely organism causing infection 2. Send CBC and Serum creatinine 3. Maintain adequate hydration with oral fluid or iv fluids 4. start on the iv antibiotics and Analgesics
Thankyou
