What Causes High Fever, Sweating, Sore Throat, Cough With Green Phlegm And Headache?
Thank you. I have for two weeks a high fever symptoms, (sweating profusely, hair gets wet) very sore throat. Cough with green phlem. headache, feel very unwell. I went to a Dr he just checked my back with a stethoscope, said my chest was clear. I would be ok. I and still the same a week later.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the symptoms seems to be consistent with Influenza commonly known as Flu.. As the phlegm is greenish there can be superseded bacterial infection.. I would suggest you to take a short course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, tylenol for fever, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalations and use a humidifier in your room.. Sip on plenty of warm water. Avoid chilled and spicy foods and chew Vitamin C pellets.. You can also suck on throat lozenges for relief from pain as well as it soothe the throat..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
