What Causes High Fever With Rashes In 11 Months Old?

Took my 11month old daughter to er last night with high fever she has a rash she s had for over a week now they say it s viral but it s gotten a lot worse it was clearing up now the spots are bigger she has an app with her primary care dr tomar 3:45 should I wait or take her back to er

Hi...by what you quote it looks like a viral infection induced rash or viral exanthem. If the kid is active you need not worry about taking to emergency room.

Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.
