What Causes Persistent High Fever In A Child Post Trauma?
Hi my baby fell on the floor and had high fver for 2 days what should.i do.i already gave him paracetamol and dolan ibuprofen but still had high fever it reached 40 degrees.did he had fracture?which causes the high fever.?he also had colds and.cough before he fell on the floor
I can understand your concern. As the baby already had cold and could before injury, it is possible that he is having upper respiratory tract infection which is causing fever. As the age of the kid is not mentioned, it is not possible to advise medicine or dose here.
Alternatively, if he has bruised himself internally or externally, an infection may have developed due to injury that can cause high fever.
In any case, it is advisable to visit a physician or pediatrician for the examination of the child and needful treatment.
I hope this answer helps you. Thank you for trusting HCM with your concern. I wish your child feels better soon!
Best, Dr. Viraj Shah
