Dear Gaurav,
Thank you for your question and welcome to Healthcare Magic. I read your query and I understand your concern.
Actually your gastrin level is significantly increased, since its normal range is considered to be Generally high levels of gastrin (hypergastrinemia) are caused caused by two type of conditions, the one with high stomach acidity and with low stomach acidity.
The first condition may have different culprits including a gastrin-secreting tumour (gastrinoma, also known as
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome), Antral-predominant
Helicobacter pylori gastritis, Pyloric obstruction, Renal failure and uraemia etc. In gastrinomas, high levels of gastrin moving around the gut stimulate acid release, leading to stomach and
small intestine ulcers that may burst.
The second condition is related with low acidity caused in pernicious anaemia or
atrophic gastritis when the stomach lining is damaged and unable to produce and release acid, and during treatment with antacid drugs.
I would recommend you to perform further tests in order to define the diagnosis. The tests should include a Peripheral blood smear,Serum cobalamin, folic acid, methylmalonic acid, and homocysteine assays,
Intrinsic factor antibody assay and Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.
Hope I helped with my answer. For further concerns or follow up questions, feel free to ask again.
Kind Regards,
Dr. Ina
