What Causes High Heart Rate In Slow Pace Running?

I run yesterday at a slow pace but my heart beats so fast like i am running on my fastest pace. I was able to finish my run of about 10 KM in less than 2 hours. I did slow deep breathing and drank water it seems to slow down. I sat down for about 30 mins when i get up i felt i am going to blackout but i dont. it has been 18 hours since i run but my heart is still beating very fast.

Did you run after a period of inactivity? When you begin exercise, you must ensure that you have a warm up and cool down before and after exercise to prevent any exercise related complication. Let the pulse increase gradually by warming up and bring it down slowly by cool down after exercise. Probably your body is finding it difficult to adapt to that much of activity. It is not just the pace which is important but duration of activity too. Long distance running for approximately 2 hours may be more than what your body could handle. Thats why your heart beat is still raised. You need plenty of rest and a good night's sleep to allow time to recover.
