What Causes High Heart Rate When Having Polycystic Kidney ?
Dear Doctor, My mother is a polycystic kidney patient, she got transplanted a kidney last year. Her CRP and other reports are fine. creatine level is little high 205. Suddenly her heart rate is increased to 120-130. May I know the reason, is there anything relate with kidney and heart?
Hi Welcome to HCM! Age and the BP recording is not mentioned.
Apparently she might be having high BP associated with increased pulse rate. High creatinine is suggestive of impairment of kidney functions which need to be investigated. Regarding the role of Kidney in regulating the BP.
Well when the blood supply to the kidney gets reduced, a hormone is released from the kidney into the blood circulation that causes the increased blood pressure as a result of retention of salt and water and narrowing of the blood vessels.
You are advised to take your mother to a physician for further evaluation and treatment.
Wishing your mother a smooth recovery. If convinced reply with thanks
