What is causing high lipidsin my eyes? Unable to get lipid film off contact lenses....eye doctor examined my eyes with lenses in n said film was lipids. Eyes r healthy. I am a 45yr old female who has worn contacts since 16. Problem has arisen in last 3 months.
Hello dear, Understand your concern. Following are causes of lipid deposits in eye: 1. High fat deposits under the skin 2. Hyperlipidemia: may be familial, High bad cholesterol-LDL This high lipid cause blockage of oil gland below sink and lead to lipid deposition.
Following are advice: It is generally harmless condition. But if it is large, interfere with vision and cosmetics point of view you should go for treatment.
Diet control: Reduce fatty diet and spicy food Take small frequent meal. Regular intake of fruits and green leafy vegetables rich in vitamin B6 and C, that help in breakdown of fats. Diet rich in choline like spinach, pasta, wheat and yogurt. Regular intake of garlic in diet Most important regular exercise: 45 minutes walking or moderate running in early morning. You should do Kapal bharti pranayam. Regular monitoring of your lipid test, blood sugar test, cardiac test and blood pressor to avoid future complication. If not response to diet and exercise, increase in size: You should go for surgical removal by lase surgery. But chance of recurrence is slight high if you unable to control fat deposition.
