I eat lots of fruit and vegetables, no meat or fish, but eggs, cheese, beans and sometimes lentils. I have always considered my diet to be healthy but my potassium levels are apparently too high. My doctor has requisitioned a second test. Should I cut back on fruits and vegetables?

Potassium level goes up during impaired kidney function or in electrolyte imbalance or when you take potassium rich diet.
Reduce consumption of potassium rich sources.
High sources are tomatoes, potatoes,spinach,leafy veg, okra ,sweet potatoes ,beans yoghurt, milk,banana, orange,papaya, raisin, dates, pomogranate , mango.
Choose low potassium vegetables and fruits.
