What Causes High Titers Of EBV And Elevated ALT Levels?

Hi, have had very high Epstein-Barr titers (3 out of 4) for months. Liver swollen and ALT elevated but no reason showing up on u/s. Have high WBC, occult blood in urine, high platelets. Extremely tired, aches in groin, chest, neck. NO symptoms of UTI. Ideas on next steps? Seeing DR later this month but would like to be proactive. Thank you - xdenisia

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

if its diagnosed then treatment can be started Acyclovir and Ganciclovir and throat swab for strep as you already have offline consultation better go with it and take multi vitamin for week in month, antioxidants and natural diets are helpful too.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
