What Causes Hip Pain Long After Having A Shoulder Replacement Surgery?
43 y/o F I have sickle cell (SC) and ITP low platelets for no reason I ve had half shoulder replacement (ball) Avascular Necrosis of shoulders 4year ago. I had bad legs crisis a year half ago had phoreses and long recovery Now I have left hip pain for 2nd day, I m hydrating and pain management. I m not on hydruea. I am trying to prevent hospital I get worse at my age when sick. What more can I do get over crises at home? P.S. I don t go to ER for every pain only maybe every 3 years.
The pain in hip may be of multiple reasons as: - arthritis hip joint - avascular necrosis of femur head with compromise of blood supply - muscle or ligament related issues - others
Primary relief with: - Local application of anaglesic spray or ointment with Linseed oil, camphor - Intake of anti-inflammatory and analgesic medicines as per the need and clinical severity - Heating pad use - Avoid prolong or sudden weight bearing over affected hip side lower limb - Control of body weight and blood sugar - Balanced nutritious diet to maintain calcium homeostasis
