What Causes Hives On The Back, Neck, Abdomen And Face Of A Child?

My 9 year old daughter came home from school covered in hives on her stomach, back, neck and face. We are not aware of any known allergies. Her temperature is 99.8. She is showing no other symptoms. We have used the same laundry detergent for several years and we are not aware of any food allergies. I gave her 2.5ml of liquid Benadryl. Is this something I should take her to the Dr. for?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, it seems to be allergic condition most of the time it is the urticaria and best drug to treat this condition is second generation antihistamine like Levocetirizine 5 mg three times in day, it is the self limiting too, but most important is to know the allergic factor responsible for that, in pediatric age group worm infestation could be the reason and it need to be ruled out too, hope this information helps.
