What Causes Hives On The Body After Taking Xyzal?

I have been taking this medication Xyzal and am broken out on my face. Looks like hives but does not itch. Been in the sun this morning but no heavy work? Don t notice any change in body--temperature, itching, etc. Thanks for your concern and help, Kay My husband is the one taking Xyzal!

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are suffering from hives on the body after taking Xyzal. Well hives is the bodies reaction to the external stimuli as a allergic reaction .There can be many reasons for hives such environmental factors , cosmetic product or side effects of any medicine In your case the symptoms are probably due to side effects of xyzal. It is very important to find out what exactly causing hives or what factor is responsible for there occurrence , because treatment depends upon the causative factor . So i would suggest you to consult allergy specialist for proper diagnosis Doctor may prescribe other steroid cream, anti inflammatory drug or drugs that can suppress immune system. Doctor may perform skin test , alter the dose of medicine or prescribe substitute . The only treatment for hives is steroid therapy . Apply cold compresses to body for itchiness and redness .
