What Causes Hoarse Voice While Sitting Under Air Conditioner?

I keep losing my voice or it gets husky, I have recently been diagnosed with asthma (coughing only) and have been on a preventer (seretide) which has got my coughing under control but I still experience a hoarse voice particularly when I am in an air conditioned office or go to say something having not spoken for awhile

Air conditioners usually cause hoarseness of voice due to dryness because air conditioners pull all the humidity from the room. Also, allergic tendencies tend to flare up in such an environment. Increased fluid intake should help alongwith the prescribed medications.
