What Causes Hoarseness In The Voice Every Evening?
What causes hoarseness of voice in the evening? I am an internet salesman, and rarely have to speak during the day, so I can rule out vocal cord stress. I am not sick. This begins to happen everyday at around 3pm to 4pm, and has been going on for several weeks. I have good size office with good ventilation. There is nothing new in the office that would cause it. There is no pain. I am baffled........ Robert
As, being a salesman, you have to speak much more than other people, inflammation of vocal cord is almost certain and that is why your voice is hoarse at the end of the day.
So even if you are a salesman, you need to give as much rest to your voice as you can. Warm saline gargle every 4 hours will also help.
Please consult an ENT doctor if your symptoms persist or worsen.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.
