Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the hole in the back portion of the jaw is definitely due to erupting tooth although the tooth must have not appeared in the oral cavity but it has started to erupt leading to perforation of bone and opening up of the gum has taken place to provide access for
tooth eruption and it is a natural process..
If you are getting
swollen gums due to food lodgement the condition is known as
Pericoronitis and you should take a course of antibiotics like
Amoxicillin 5OO mg thrice daily and
Ibuprofen 4OO mg thrice daily for relief, doing warm saline gargles also relieve..
Maintenance of good hygiene and not letting food to deposit in that place can be helpful..
If you have additional teeth you should
consult a dentist and get an
x ray done and the dentist will very well evaluate the condition and clarify that whether the tooth will erupt completely or it is impacted and will not erupt.
In this condition if the tooth is impacted Surgical Extraction of the tooth is to be done under local anaesthesia by an Oral Surgeon followed by antibiotics and painkillers..
Hope this information helps..
