Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Hot Flashes And Depression After Stopping Lexapro?
I was taking Lexapro but after adding blood pressure medication, I developed bowel issues including bleeding. The doctor took me off and that cleared up. My hot flashes have returned with a vengeance! Also, irritable, dark thoughts and dreams, and tear up very easily. I took Cymbalta before Lexapro. Could I go back to that to relieve symptoms but not cause bowel issues. I also drink alcohol so that should be considered with drug choice.
you may be suffering from antidepressants withdrawal symptoms. Present like dizziness, very, like, difficulty walking nausea/vomiting, fatigue, I, headaches, insomnia diarrhoea, muscle pain etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. It may be also alcohol withdrawal syndrome. Don't stop suddenly, avoid alcohol intake.
Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
