What Causes Hot Flashes And Difficulty In Breathing While On Junel Fe?

I have been taking Junel Fe and a month ago they moved the dosage up by .5g and Im now experiencing hot flashes that make it hard to breath and make me nauseous. I don t remember if the hot flashes were happening before the dosage went up. Could the higher dosage be causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Purpose of taking Junel Fe? Junel Fe is a combined hormone medication (estrogen+progestin) and ferrous fumarate (iron supplement) commonly used to prevent unwanted pregnancy, to treat pimples (acne) and other conditions.

Based on the symptoms given in your query you seem to suffer from the overdose of Junel Fe.

So, you should consult your doctor immediately to review the dose or to prescribe an alternate effective but safer medication for your health issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
