What Causes Hot Flashes And Dizziness After Removing The Wisdom Teeth?

I had my wisdom teeth removed 9 days ago. Things seemed to be healing well. I have a little pain in my jaw, but not too bad. Five days ago, however, I started to develop hot flashes, dizziness, and feel like I am going to faint. Things seem to go black at times. I have no fever. I am 18 years old and weigh 128 pounds.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain hot flashes and dizziness after 4 days of getting wisdom tooth extracted can be due to allergic reaction of the medicines that have been given to you by the post extraction..
Many a times when any medicine is taken for the first times and it acts as an allergen to your body initially there seems to be no reaction as the antibodies against that medicine is not formed in the body..
But as the medicine intake is continued antibodies are formed as a part of protective phenomena and then the allergic reaction starts..

You should immediately stop the intake of the medicines and consult your dentist and explain the symptoms and get the medicines changed.

As of now you can take anti-allergic medicine like Benadryl for relief..
Take ample of rest and proper diet.

As you are just 18 years of age other causes like cadiovascular problems are not likely and seems to be allergic reaction only..
But getting confirmed by a dentist or a physician is must..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
