What Causes Hot Flashes And Excessive Sweating During Menopause?
Why am I so hot most of the time , can t wear coats . Get really hot & sweaty when working & moving around . However feel ok @ night in bed or sitting down . I am 63 yrs old & went through the menopause @ 50 yrs old . I have never had hot flushes just feel very hot & sweaty n.
Based on the history you seem to be suffering from post menopausal symptoms.
The symptoms of hot flashes & sweating are related to a lowered production of the female sex hormones estrogen and progesterone. These symptoms may still continue after menopause, but they lessen in intensity over time.
I advise you to consult a gynecologist for further evaluation and certain lab tests like Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) & estrogen (estradiol), because your FSH levels increase and estradiol levels decrease as menopause occurs.

What Causes Hot Flashes And Excessive Sweating During Menopause?
Dear Madam, Hi & Welcome. Beside these symptoms may also occur in thyroid disease, thyroid function tests (Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) & Free Thyroxine) should be done. Based on the report your doctor may prescribe hormone replacement therapy for the treatment of those symptoms. Hope this answers your query.
