What Causes Hot Flashes During Bowel Movement Inspite Of Suffering From IBS?

I get hot flashes prior to having a bowel movement, and cold sweats or chills right afterwards. I have had my gall bladder removed in 2010, and I do have IBS. I recently had an colonoscopy, and an endoscopy, but the symptoms remain. I ve asked three doctors for help, but they don t seem to know what s causing the problem. I ve tried Linzess, which gave me runny stools ,and armitreza which provided no relief from constipation. I have a lot of gurgling and noise in my abdomen like it s full of liquid. tricial811

Hi,

IBS is irritable bowel syndrome meaning the bowel is getting irritated hence the symptoms of gurgling and noises. loose stools and so on.
The commonest reasons are stress and anxiety which should be controlled by medicines and mediation and avoiding all the factors that are instigating or enhancing the symptoms. Finding the causes and avoiding is another mainstay of treatment of IBS.
Other causes to find out any allergy or intolerance for any foods, preservatives, fluids and factors and should be avoided.
You can consult a Gastroenterologist and ask for specific treatment for IBS which may be in the form of medicines to control irritability of bowel and quieten your mind that control the bowel movements and also will control the hot flashes and cold sweats which again is neurogenic.
Find the causes and get treated accordingly.
