What Causes Hot Flashes In The Foot?

Good evening, my father has been dealing with a hot feeling in his foot. It started on the top, then traveled to the bottom front part of his foot, right before his toes. He doesn t have any pain thank goodness. His doctor prescribed him Levitra for his sciatic nerve that he was dealing with. As of lately, no problems with his sciatica. What does the discomfort in his feet come from?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
Your father is suffering from sciatica. The symptom of hotness of foot is extension of sciatic symptoms.. the nerve fibers supplying foot come from sciatic nerve .. the compression/ pinching of those fibers cause hot feeling of foot.
Treatment is medicines / physiotherapy & surgery in non responding cases
Thanks.
