What Causes Hot Flashes Post Tooth Extraction?

Had tooth pulled then 3 days later started having hot flashes every 30 minutes followed by cold chills. This has been non stop for 3 weeks now. I am 48 and guess i could be starting menopause. Just weird that it started right after tooth extraction. Thoughts ?

As per your complain hot flashes and cold chills after tooth extraction can be due to side effect of the medications that are given to you post extraction..

But in case if the symptoms are persisting even after 3 weeks there is a possibility that it is not related to tooth extraction and overlapping occurrence can be coincidental..

I would suggest you to consult a Medicine Specialist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations as per the suspected cause can be diagnostic and treatment can be planned accordingly..
