What Causes Hot Flashes, Stomach Ache, Nausea And Dry Heaves In A Child?
My seven year old has symptoms that mimic morning sickness . He occasionally wakes up in the night with a hot flash and dry heaves, sweaty and pale. Then always wakes up with a tummy ache. The nausea comes and goes, sometimes after eating, sometimes when he needs to have a bowel movement, and sometimes for no reason. Is this just a sensitive stomach?
This can affect children and it can be associated with nausea, dry heaves and abdominal pain. The symptoms are also worse at night or early morning in some persons.
You may want to consider adjusting his diet to reduce foods that may worsen reflux and also consider medication if diet changes alone are not enough. Medications such as pepcid, zantac
If the symptoms continue or worsen, he should see his doctor for assessment.
I hope this helps
